1st Turkish Regional Congress of TATES

1st Turkish Regional Congress of Trauma & Emergency Surgery was held with the collaboration of Turkish Association for Trauma & Emergency Surgery (TATES) and Surgical Department of Uludag University, between December 20 and 25, 1998. The congress president was Burcin Kutlay (Professsor of Surgery) and the general secretary was Rıfat Tokyay (Professor of Surgery). All over the country 450 participants attended the congress. Pioneers on the field from all over the country, and Carol Gilbert MD, from the USA participated as speakers. 1st Trauma & Resuscitation Instructor course was performed simultaneously with the participitation of 49 instructors. In terms of social activities, congress participants and accompanying persons had the chance to ski in this skiing resort of Turkiye.
