4th Turkish Regional Congress of TATES

4^th Turkish Regional Congress of Trauma & Emergency Surgery was held with the collaboration of Turkish Association for Trauma & Emergency Surgery (TATES) and Surgery & Emergency Medicine Departments of Erciyes University Medical Faculty, between September 25-28, 2003 at Kayseri Hilton Hotel. The congress president was Erdogan Sozuer (Professsor of Surgery) and the general secretaries were Engin Ok (Associate Professor of Surgery), and Ibrahim Ikizceli (Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine). All over the country 172 participants attended the congress. Pioneers of the field from all over the country, participated as speakers. During the congress 5 lectures, 6 panel and 5 oral presentation sessions were accomplished. In terms of social activity, a tour was organized to the underground city of Agirnas.
