Radiology Suite

Two conventional X-ray machines, one mounted scope for GI series, two portable X-ray machines (one of which is C-armed), and one ultrasound machine with duplex availability. Portable C-armed machine is used for ERCP examinations. Portable X-ray machine is used in the intensive care unit (ICU) or operation room (OR) for regular X-rays, angiography, cholangiography etc. For many years computerized tomography (CT) exam has been a burden for patients, since they had to be transferred to a different building.

 In 2002 this problem has been overcome with the new CT machine in our unit. Radiology suite is only 20 m away form the resuscitation rooms. Thus, patients are resuscitated very quickly and CT can be maintained in a short time. This service is delivered by radiology technicians and if required support is conveyed by the Radiology Department.
