Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

The new ICU is a high standard eight- bed sector serving trauma and emergency surgery patients. Eight beds are located in the same area, and there are two isolated rooms for burns and infected patients with resistant micro-organisms. This unit is serving our patients since 2002, floor and ceilings are covered with epoxy to refrain from infections, and the temperature is balanced centrally.

All beds are equipped wit servo ventilators, brand new monitors, IV & enteral pumps. The ICU team is qualified on this field and doctors of Surgery and Anesthesiology work together. Every morning surgery faculty attends rounds. One faculty member of the Anesthesiology Department supervises their team also.

There is a Anesthesiology physician, 3 residents of Anesthesiology, one resident of Surgery, 3 nurses and one personnel. Doctors from both Departments attend rounds three times a day.
