Continuing Medical Education

Service faculty gives a great stress to familiarize the doctors in Turkey with this field. To fulfill this aim Turkish Association for Trauma & Emergency Surgery (TATES) has been established in 1995. Several meetings, courses, symposia on trauma & emergency surgery have been organized on this field. Turkish Journal of Trauma and Emergency Surgery (TJTES) is indexed in Index Medicus / Medline is run by the service faculty.

Since 1995, last Thursday of every month, monthly meeting of TATES is held with the participation of all teaching hospitals in Istanbul. In this meeting interesting cases and experiences of surgeons are shared. Service faculty puts a great emphasis in building bridges with the universities located in Anatolia. For this purpose, surgeons visit our service for a period of 2 to 6 months. Our service is known worldwide on it’s field, and receives applications from many countries of the world.
